Once I have information about jtag and bootloader, I will post here the information for discussion.
Best regardsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05737864095023121770[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4968803758390063569.post-22751524221978012872016-05-07T21:25:13.831+01:002016-05-07T21:25:13.831+01:00Hello, this IP cam very likely has a JTAG port and...Hello, this IP cam very likely has a JTAG port and it is not too difficult to upload a firmware this way. I have a page that explains the method: http://www.gadgetvictims.com/2009/12/bring-your-fi8908w-paperweight-back-to.html

The most difficult part is to obtain a compatible recovery firmware because it is not the same file format as the one you would apply via the web interface. But you know that already as I see you've been on openipcam.com which was a good place to try. Maybe you 'll get some luck asking Escam directly -> [email protected]
Bubbahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14656029295196015176[email protected]tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4968803758390063569.post-78868383615770560122016-05-03T07:37:17.045+01:002016-05-03T07:37:17.045+01:00Dear Bubbah, I have found your blog and for me is ...Dear Bubbah,
I have found your blog and for me is quite usefull for the issue I have.
In short: Bricked camera QF001 ESCAM, technician of the escam suggested to update the firmware, because pan tilt zoom functionality stopped working.
Update was unsuccessful, suggested to be done via web, I have read that is risky, unfortunately afterwards. I would like to know whther you have any idea of steps for debricking the camera? Camera is similar to that one in your post: http://www.gadgetvictims.com/2011/10/inside-views-of-dericam-m801w.html
I have new firmware, with long name, which was rejected by the software, so I renamed it. Not sure whether the problem was caused by this issue.
I have tried to connect to the camera via LAN cable and 2 leds are blinking, however did not manage to identify the IP address of the camera. Tried with default address 192.168.1.10- nothing again. Can you share your experience with me?
I have opened the camera and there are some pins, which might suggest JTAG connector.
